A way into Argentina
Patagonia stretches across two countries and more than one emotional register. The Atlantic is broad, tidal and full of marine life; the Andes close the view around forest, fjord and ice.
Epic Patagonia keeps those worlds connected by road. Weather, ferries and border reality remain part of the experience rather than backstage inconvenience.
The south keeps changing its terms: island becomes steppe, steppe becomes ocean, forest becomes fjord and granite finally gives way to ice.

I would cross all of Patagonia, not fly between its famous mountains. The reward is seeing lenga forest open into steppe, meeting wildlife on the Atlantic and reaching the glaciers through Chilean fjords.

Lenga forests turn copper and the busiest trails soften, but daylight shortens and early snow can close higher roads. The full cross-border circle needs careful date-by-date checks.
