Why this place matters
Where the city gives way to horizon
West of Buenos Aires, the land settles into long lines. Grain fields, grazing country, windbreaks and shallow lagoons create a landscape whose drama lies in proportion rather than altitude.
This is not gaucho theatre added to fill a drive. The route looks for a real agricultural, railway or wetland voice and gives the first road day enough space to remain attentive.
The first transformation is almost an absence: buildings thin, the road straightens and the sky begins to occupy more of the day.
