MAAM was created around material recovered from the 6,739-meter summit of Llullaillaco, where an Inca capacocha ceremony took place more than five centuries ago.
The museum gives essential context for high-mountain roads and asks visitors to look carefully at both scientific preservation and the dignity of the children involved.
