Lahemaa day from Tallinn

Estonia day experience

One day from the capital into Estonia's first national park: the Viru bog boardwalk, the boulder coast, and the sea-captain village of Käsmu — back in Tallinn for dinner.

Designer's note

The day beyond Tallinn I recommend first

With one day outside Tallinn, I choose Lahemaa. You walk Viru bog while the pools still hold the morning light, then meet the boulder coast and sea-captain history around Käsmu.

Experience FAQ

Lahemaa day FAQ

Q01How much walking is it?

The Viru boardwalk is a flat, easy hour; the village and coast walks are as long as you want them. Any walking-fit traveler manages the day comfortably, and I shorten it gladly for small children.

Q02Do I need a car?

No. You can travel from Tallinn in your own car or by private transfer. Tell me how you prefer to travel and I build the day that way.
