The experience
Käsmu's white houses and boulder coast make more sense after entering its maritime museum. Founder Aarne Vaik's private collection holds the practical world behind the captains' village: navigation, fishing, ship life, smuggling and the sea as both livelihood and imagination.
This is Lahemaa's human coast, not an interval between forest walks. The visit shows how a small village on Estonia's northern edge maintained working routes across the Baltic.
