Zambezi wetlands
Namibia narrows east into a world made by rivers. Floodplain, reed bed and woodland replace the long arid sequence that defines most first journeys.
Wildlife moves across a transboundary system, and water levels determine which roads, islands and channels are open. The itinerary must follow those conditions.
This is the farthest eastern point of Epic Namibia and its first great reversal of expectation: a river world that makes every dry landscape ahead feel more dramatic.
In the first week, the flagship reaches reeds, channels and elephants moving through water. Everything that follows will become progressively drier.
