In Maun, women artisans turn mokola palm into tightly coiled baskets patterned with names drawn from animals, water and daily life.
A workshop slows the object down into its real stages: splitting fibre, preparing color and building the coil by hand.

A full basket takes longer than most visits, so the workshop focuses on core technique and a realistic small piece.
The artisan depends on the date; I do not promise a named master weaver until she has agreed to host.
