Q01Can the canyon flood?
Yes. Rain far upstream can create dangerous flash water, so current park instructions always override the plan.
Q02When should we walk?
Morning or late afternoon avoids the strongest heat; the canyon can be added after Deadvlei only if energy and temperature remain sensible.
