The community-run Mbunza Living Museum focuses on the knowledge of a river people: fishing, cultivation, food preparation, craft, games and oral history.
The full programme gives context to what the boat journey sees from the water and directs income to the hosts preserving and teaching those skills.

The longer combined programme is preferable when possible because fishing, farming and craft explain different parts of river life.
