Cape Town
Cape Town introduces the Cape Floral Kingdom above two oceans: you walk Table Mountain's fynbos, enter District Six with lived testimony and kayak near Boulders when the sea allows.

12–15 days South Africa journey
An August–September journey from Cape Town through Cederberg rock country into Namaqualand's moving flower season. Augrabies Falls and Kgalagadi's red dunes make the journey compelling even when the bloom appears somewhere unexpected.
Designer's note
I follow current bloom reports because Namaqualand's best color moves with rain, temperature and sun. That freedom finds the strongest flower days, while Cederberg rock art, Augrabies Falls and Kgalagadi wildlife sustain the journey across the Northern Cape.

Cape Town introduces the Cape Floral Kingdom above two oceans: you walk Table Mountain's fynbos, enter District Six with lived testimony and kayak near Boulders when the sea allows.
The Cederberg is a wilderness of iron-red sandstone and the natural home of rooibos: you hike Wolfberg Cracks, pair Stadsaal's caves with protected rock art and visit a working farm.
Namaqualand holds extraordinary succulent diversity and a brief, rain-led spring bloom: you walk Skilpad and Hantam's flower trails, then examine drought adaptations at Goegap's living collection.
At Augrabies, the Orange River is forced through fractured granite: you follow the falls boardwalks, climb the Moon Rock dome and hike the Dassie Trail through the wider arid park.
Kgalagadi's dry riverbeds channel wildlife between red Kalahari dunes: you follow the Auob at dawn, join a sunset drive and learn how ǂKhomani knowledge reads tracks, plants and water.
Back in Cape Town, you walk Table Mountain's fynbos, enter District Six and kayak near Boulders when the sea allows.

Spring journey FAQ
No. That is the usual season, but timing and density depend on winter rain and daily conditions.
The red-dune safari gives the journey a complete second act and keeps its value independent of flower density.
